Optimum Video and Picture Settings for GoPro HERO3 and HERO3+

Optimum Video and Picture Settings for GoPro HERO3 and HERO3+
Gopro cameras come with multiple settings that we can adjust in order to fit the given circumstances of our recordings. Choosing the right settings is essential in achieving optimum footage and maximising the GoPro’s limited battery life. This is why we have devised a table for you to refer to should you need any assistance in setting up your GoPro for video or picture taking.
These are the recommended resolution, FPS, FOV settings of your GoPro camera when in use.
Protune Settings
Auto:
It is the same as the default standards modes. The camera reads color and light well in this setting and also does the necessary color and light corrections well.
3000:
This will be most suitable in warm-lightings such as early morning sunrises and evening sunsets. In a room with white walls, the recordings will look rater blue to offset the warm tones.
5500:
This setting can be utilised in an average daylight afternoon when there is harsh and bright lightings. In a room with white walls as a neutral enviroment, it will look slightly warm
6500:
This will look its best in colder overcast skies and appears warmer in a neutral enviroment.
Raw Cam:
This has no settings what-so-ever as the camera just protrays whatever it captures in the given enviroment. This will give you the freedom for correction of the images you have captured, later.
A gentle reminder: Protune will not make a difference during low light situations /night mode.
